Play Battlecon Online, it is fun, balanced and competitive; I swear you won't regret it!
Also, the game is incredibly well balanced.
Although it combines gameplay mechanics from both fighting and card card counting online blackjack youtube games, it is essentially a 1v1 fighting game in it's core.
All in all, it is a solid pick.About the graphics' department: the game fails on that part, but honestly it is not a big deal; Battlecon is still enjoyable. They're supposed to be strong, final attacks able to close a match (hence the name but when you finally meet the conditions to use your finisher and get to the correct range to actually hit it, you don't get the feeling of epicness from finishing. But, hey, we're still in early access, right?Sure, some characters are a bit stronger than others, but there is no impossible matchup for any fighter at all.12, early access, this game is an online port of the original Battlecon board game and is extremely good. This way, you can try to predict your opponent's actions and play around them or, of course, guarantee that your planned attack will beat your opponent this turn.
There are bad matchups like Shektur x Sarafina, but they're by no means impossible to win.
As I said, this game focuses heavily on player skill, so there will be no such thing as a Mage ramdonly summoning King Krush from Unstable Portal to SMOrc your face up or a character which wins the game by itself.
If you know your character well and make the right decisions, you can still get the advantage in a match.
When you a lose a game, you know exactly why you lost, so you can improve by learning from your own mistakes. The only thing they could work more in my opinion are the attack's animations; they're all extremely simple and meh, so when you hit that juicy 10 damage Flare Spellbolt, you don't get the feeling of landing a really strong attack.Even if you don't like competitive stuff, it is free, so it shouldn't be a problem to try it out.Not a big deal.Obviously the game is not complete and they're working hard on it, so eventually it will get better and better! If you are into competitive games with proper balancing like me, this is something you should take a look.Battlecon emphasizes on player skill and decision making, it is a full-information game; you have access to every card in the opponent's hand, discard piles and also his character's unique ability. There is no godlike fighter who you simply instalock and win a match. Some people may find it boring to look at the card standees instead of sprites to emulate actual fighters battling, but it is just a matter of time to get used.
It is worth it).
It's more frustrating with finishers, though.
It has no RNG, meaning you won't have random outcomes completely ruining your experience.
